With 7 campgrounds in the area, one is sure to appeal to your sense of adventure

Rules for Campgrounds run by the Town of Swan Hills: 

No food is allowed to be left outside unattended at the campsite due to bears

All pets must be on a leash at all times

All ATV's must stay off grass and remain on roadways

No hunting or discharging of firearms within 1km of campground

No butchering of animals in campground

Do not cut trees or damage wilderness

No vandalism

Quiet time 11:00 pm to 7:00 am (no loud noises or generators) 

No alcohol outside of registered campsite

Campsites must be kept clean & garbage placed in bear proof bins

No temporary structures (other than tents) 

No theft of firewood

Any violations of the above rules will be investigated and all costs of repairs/replacement will be the responsibility of the offender

Failure to pay your campsite will result in a $25.00 surcharge plus campsite fee per night 

Four Seasons Wilderness Campground

Located in and operated by the Town of Swan Hills

  • Campers may only book for 14 consecutive days out of 28

  • $20/night no services  (Reservations Not Accepted)

  • 10 sites full service, 5 sites with power, 8 non serviced sites

  • 12 km drive to golf course
  • Conveniently located right in the Town of Swan Hills

  • Pump water (NOT SAFE for drinking) group camp shelter
  • Reservations not accepted 
  • 22 km SW of Swan Hills on Freeman Lake
  • Road can be difficult with prolonged rain
  • Direct acces to trail system allowed.  ATVers are remided to respect all other campers and restrict operation of ATVs to direct trail access only
  • Please remember alcohol comsumption is not allowed by non-registered guest and not permitted in Day Use Area.

 

Trappers Lea's Recreation Area
  • Open from May 15 to Sep 15
  • $20./night
  • 18 Sites
  • No power
  • Snowmobile staging areas
  • Terrain is excellent for ATB beginners camping
  • Direct access to trail system allowed. ATVers are reminded to respect all other campers and restrict operation of ATVs to direct trail access only

Freeman River 
  • Open from May 15 to Sep 15

  • 10 Sites

Krause Lake  
  • Open year round
  • Group camping only
  • Near golf course and airport
  • Group camp shelter - Perfect for weddings, family reunions and other large gatherings.

  • 6 km S of Swan Hills
