2:00 Wildfire Update
The evacuation order remains in full effect. The Wildfire SWF 063 did not have much movement overnight. The current temperature is 22 Celsius and the conditions are a little less smoky in town. Wildfire crews continue to work on the fire and crews in town are managing structure protection.
Forecasted weather is looking promising for the future and we will keep everyone updated on any changes this may bring for the community.
We urge any evacuees who have not registered to register at the Reception Centre in Barrhead or by phone at 1-825-977-4382 or 1-825-977-1462. We want to continue to remind evacuees that Barrhead is the registered reception centre for the town. We want to send out a big thank you to our municipal partners in Barrhead who have been amazing.
