The evacuation order remains in full effect. The Wildfire SWF 063 did not advance significantly today. Wildfire crew resource numbers working on the fire remained the same and worked throughout the day. Conditions remained very smoky near the wildfire. Visibility and smoke conditions in town were clearer today. Alberta Wildfire has communicated that no resources currently working on the fire will be removed or placed elsewhere. The south side of this large fire remains a high priority for them.
Teams within the town boundaries continued with structure protection mitigation.
Rain is forecasted to start later tonight but has not started at the time of this update. Heavier rains are forecasted to start tomorrow. This will assist in improving the current situation in the community.
